Location:  Fair Oaks, CA

Square Footage:  760, previously 460, 65% increase in usable space

The old deck was riddled with dry-rot, unsafe, unstable, boards falling through, 20 year old paint, splintering, rotted and the support beams underneath were falling down.  A clear eyesore, a liability and not usable.

We visited the site, took photos and asked the client exactly what she wanted.  We came up with conceptual drawings to double check her dream deck specifications and desires.  We suggested keeping the trees and re-building the new deck around them.  We also built in walkways connected to the walkways and pool area.

We did a significant amount of grading to level and stabilize the foundation, poured concrete on the new footings for added strength and durability.  We used composite deck material the exact color she wanted with rails and steps.  This material lasts longer (25 – 30 years) and looks better than standard wood products.  Our client was surprised and very happy.  She said it turned out even better than she had imagined.  She has a big family and loves spending time poolside relaxing and entertaining.  Her mom is in a wheelchair and now has access to join the family on the new deck.
